I just realized that right now is first chance the public can see the new Star Wars “movie” and not only am I not at a theater watching, like I was for the three prequels, but I just don’t give a shit. Wow. Congrats George Lucas. You killed it.
This is coming from a guy who read the Extended Universe novels when I had mono in 10th grade. A guy who stayed in line for three days to get tickets for episode 1. A guy who almost failed economics and had to bribe his teacher with tickets to episode 1 so he could graduate high school. A guy who stuck up for episode 1 like a fucking idiot for four years. A guy who took his bitch girlfriend to meet his friends for the first time and watch episode 2 because he thought it would be a perfect night. A guy who still believed that episode 3 would redeem everything.
I don’t know if I have ever felt this let down.
